Palworld Breeding Calculator

This free Palworld breeding calculator answers the three questions every breeder asks: which Pal hatches from two parents, which parents produce the Pal you want, and what the shortest breeding chain from your own Pals looks like. It runs on the complete current breeding table — all 299 Pals and all 44,850 possible parent pairings — and every result on this site is computed from that table, not guessed.

How this Palworld breeding calculator works

Every Pal in Palworld carries a hidden number called its Breeding Power. When two Pals breed, the game averages the parents' Breeding Power and the egg hatches whichever Pal's power band contains that average. A Lamball (Breeding Power 3,050) bred with a Cattiva (2,760) averages 2,905 — and hatches a Daedream. Breed a Chikipi (3,080) with the same Cattiva and the average is exactly 2,920, so the egg hatches a Nox. The pair calculator above does this math for any two of the 299 Pals instantly, including the exceptions below.

Three exceptions sit on top of the averaging rule, and this calculator handles all of them:

The reverse finder and the breeding chain tool use the same verified table. The reverse finder lists every one of the parent combinations that can produce a chosen Pal — Anubis, for example, has 234 of them — and the chain finder runs a shortest-path search from the Pals you actually own, the same job the "breeding tree" view on other calculators does, so you can plan the fewest possible breeding steps to a target Pal.

Updated for the current game (the "1.0" searches)

A lot of players search for a "Palworld breeding calculator 1.0" after each major update, because new Pals change the table. This calculator's data is rebuilt from the current game data and covers the full modern Paldeck: the Feybreak and Terraria-crossover Pals are all here, including the 11 crossover Pals (the Slimes, Cave Bat, Illuminant Bat, Enchanted Sword, Demon Eye and Eye of Cthulhu) and the newest raid-tier Pals such as Panthalus. If a Pal exists in the current game and can breed, it is in the picker above — 299 in total.

What to breed first

New breeders usually chase three kinds of targets. Progression Pals like Anubis (a top-tier handiwork and mining Pal) are far easier to breed than to catch early. Variant Pals — the Lux, Noct, Cryst, Ignis, Aqua, Terra and Botan forms — mostly come from the 118 special combinations or from high/low power bands, and the reverse finder shows every route to each of them. Passive projects are the long game: breeding is how you stack four perfect passive skills onto one Pal, and our passive skills inheritance guide explains exactly how passives pass from parents to egg.

Two honest warnings from the data. First, 26 Pals — almost all of them legendaries and raid bosses such as Jetragon, Paladius, Necromus, Frostallion and Bellanoir Libero — cannot be produced by any mixed pairing. The only way to breed them is from two of themselves, so you have to catch the first one. Second, the strongest Pals have the lowest Breeding Power (Panthalus sits at 20, Jetragon at 70), which is why breeding chains toward them run through other rare Pals instead of commons.

Start with the data

Every answer on this page comes from the full breeding table for the current game data — 299 Pals and 44,850 possible pairings. Browse the complete breeding chart, read how breeding works, or learn how to stack perfect passives in the passive skills guide.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use this Palworld breeding calculator?

Pick the first parent in the Pair Calculator tab, then the second parent. The egg result appears instantly, with a note explaining whether it came from the Breeding Power average, a special combination, or the same-species rule. Use the Reverse Finder tab to see every pairing that produces a Pal you want, and the Breeding Chain tab to plan the shortest route from the Pals you own.

Is this breeding calculator updated for Palworld 1.0 and the latest Pals?

Yes. The data behind the calculator is the complete current breeding table: 299 Pals, 44,850 pairings, 118 special combinations. It includes the newest additions players search the '1.0' update for, such as Panthalus and the Terraria-crossover Pals.

How does breeding actually work in Palworld?

Each Pal has a Breeding Power value. The game averages the two parents' Breeding Power and hatches the Pal whose power band contains the average. Special combinations (118 of them), same-species pairs, and one gender-dependent pair override the average. Our breeding guide explains the full system with worked examples.

Why did my egg hatch a different Pal than the calculator on another site said?

Usually because the other calculator used an out-of-date table, ignored special combinations, or used the simple 'closest power wins' shortcut. The real game uses fixed power bands, and 115 Pals never appear as normal band results at all — they come only from special combinations or same-species breeding. This site's engine was tested against all 44,851 entries of the current breeding table and reproduces every one.

Which Pals cannot be bred from other Pals?

26 Pals can only be bred from two of themselves, including Jetragon, Paladius, Necromus, Frostallion, Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, Xenolord and Panthalus. The reverse finder shows 'only bred from two of itself' for these Pals instead of inventing combinations that do not exist.

What is the fastest way to breed Anubis?

Anubis has 234 producing combinations, so there are many routes. One short chain from a Lamball is: Lamball + Dandilord → Bushi, Bushi + Sootseer → Bushi Noct, Bushi Noct + Blazamut Ryu → Anubis. Use the Breeding Chain tab with your own Pals to get the shortest route from what you actually own.

Do parent genders matter when breeding?

You always need one male and one female at the Breeding Farm, but for the species of the child, genders only matter in a single pairing: Katress + Wixen. Female Katress + male Wixen gives Katress Ignis; male Katress + female Wixen gives Wixen Noct. Every other pairing gives the same child regardless of which parent is male.

Can I breed legendary Pals like Jetragon or Frostallion?

Only from two of the same legendary. No mixed pairing produces a legendary Pal — Jetragon + anything else never hatches a Jetragon. Catch your first one in the wild or from a raid, then breed two of them together for eggs.
